Premium boats have better-quality furnishings, more spacious interiors, and air conditioning that runs from noon rather than 9:00 PM. For a couple on a honeymoon or a group that values interior comfort, Premium is worth the step up. For most travellers who spend the majority of their time on the deck or out on the water, Deluxe is perfectly sufficient.

The kitchen on a houseboat is compact, so highly specialised requests may not always be possible — but we’ll tell you honestly what can and can’t be done rather than overpromise.
