Alleppey Houseboats or Kettuvallam are country boats that were used in the early days for the transport of goods from the isolated interior villages of Kerala Backwater area to the towns like Alleppey, Kollam, Cochin and Kottayam. With the advent of roads, bridges and ferry services, gradually the Kettuvalloms went off the scene. Now these Kettuvalloms are back again as a major tourist attraction as a modern moving boat house that is kerala houseboats. Budget Houseboats
Budget class houseboats have A/C bedroom with attached bathroom, living area and kitchen. In Budget class houseboat A/C will operate in bedroom from 09.00 PM to 06.00 AM only.
Deluxe Houseboats
Deluxe houseboats in Alleppey offer a budget option to enjoy the backwaters of Alleppey with standard facilities. 3 experienced boat staff on board. Well-equipped with modern amenities including LCD TV, music systems as well as fire and water safety equipments.
Premium Houseboats
Premium Houseboats are a little more luxurious than the Deluxe Houseboats. Its completely covered with glass windows stretching across 3/4ths of the wall, it offers a clear view of the backwaters while travelling. Conference Houseboats
Conference Houseboats are specially designed for the Corporate business meetings, Wedding & Birthday parties, Training seminars, Family get together and Day Tripsfor groups. These boats will have two layered decks with one layer filled with rooms and kitchen and the upper layer built with the large space for conferences. The top floor is fully glass-covered and air-conditioned and designed for heavy seating capacities like 100 – 150 persons especially for Day cruises.
ITINERARY
» Guests can check in at 12:00 hrs, we will welcome you with welcome drink and start cruise after a short briefing introduction, relax and enjoy the canals,
rivers and backwater, at 13:00 hrs houseboat will stop for lunch, with lavish menu of traditional Kerala cuisine. (if your require any special meals like main food in north Indian or food without spice etc it has to be informed in advance).
» 14:00 hrs it will continue its cruise covering beautiful rivers and canals with palm trees and small houses near to it , villages paddy fields, churches, etc, you can also buy fresh prawns or crab or karimeen from local fishermen and give to our chef , who will prepare it for your dinner.
» 17:30 hrs The houseboat will anchor (till next day morning 08: 00) most of the time we will stop near the land because, you can also get a chance to go out and walk along the riverside or villages and come back, Evening Enjoy your Dinner and leave all world behind you and have a good sleep in your floating paradise.
» Bed tea / Coffee will be provided, enjoy the sunrise and breath polution free air. At 08:30 hrs Breakfast which includes bread, butter, jam together with Iddily & Dosa etc.
» 09.00 hrs is the time to check out and end of services in houseboat and leave houseboat with an ever lasting beautiful memory.
Terms And Conditions
» Meal plan applied on APAI / full board basis (ie; inclusive of breakfast, lunch & dinner).
» The Menu is normally fixed. Any changes to be intimated in advance.
» Check in: 12 noon, Check out: 9 AM. One stay is for 21 hrs and not for 24 hrs.
» Beverages & any cook to order will be charged extra on actual.
» The boat will be anchored in the lake or canal during night & will not cruise after 17.30 hrs.
» Air conditioners in the bedroom will be switched on only from 9 PM to 6 AM.
» Incase of A/C failure, Non A/C deluxe houseboat tariff will be charged.
